The Southeast Warren FFA Chapter recently took a trip to Indianapolis, Indiana for the National FFA Convention in October. Twelve students participated in tours of Fair Oaks Dairy Farm, Glassworks, Louisville Slugger, and John Deere Construction Works. They also attended the career show, a Bulls and Broncs Rodeo, and three sessions with keynotes speakers Mike Rowe and Hugh Grant. In the final session, Adam Brummer, son of Brett and Terri Brummer, received the American FFA Degree on Saturday October 24th. It is the highest degree awarded by the National FFA Organization and recognizes Adam's demonstrated leadership abilities and outstanding achievements in agriculture business, production, processing and service programs. Adam is currently attending college at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Missouri. This is the first American Degree earned in the 50-year history of the Southeast Warren FFA. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success though agricultural education.
